WIFI LAN SPEED TEST

Test the WIFI Local Network Transfer Speed
Right-click on the desktop of one of the computers that is connected to the router. Select “New” and click “Folder.”
Right-click the folder you just created and click “Properties.” Click the “Sharing” tab and select “Advanced Sharing.” Click the “Share this folder” check box.
Click “Permissions” and make sure the “Allow” check boxes for the group labeled “Everyone” are checked. Click “OK” and select “Close.”
Download the LAN Speed Test (Lite) program on a second computer. If it does not open automatically after downloading it, browse to the location you saved it to and double-click it.
Click “Folder or Server IP.” Click “Network,” select the arrow to the left of the first computer’s name and select the shared folder you created. Click “OK,” select “Start Test” and choose “OK.”
Read the values for “Mbps” under the Writing and Reading columns. The writing speed is how fast information can be copied to the other computer. The reading speed is how fast information can be accessed from the other computer. Delete the shared folder you created when you are finished with testing.
